This delicious sweet bread is easy to make and tastes fantastic! Here's a recipe inspired by the beautiful flower shape you shared.

Ingredients

For the Dough:

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk (about 110°F/43°C)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter , melted
  • 1 large egg

For the Filling:

  • 1 cup fruit preserves (like raspberry, apricot, or your choice)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for extra sweetness)

For Topping:

  • 1 egg , beaten (for egg wash)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for sprinkling on top)

Instructions

1. Make the Dough

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  • In another bowl, mix warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Add this mixture to the dry ingredients.
  • Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 5-7 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

2. Prepare the Filling

  • In a bowl, mix the fruit preserves with cinnamon and sugar (if desired).

3. Shape the Bread

  • Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into equal pieces (about 12-16).
  • Roll each piece into a circle (about 4 inches in diameter).
  • Place a spoonful of the fruit filling in the center of each circle. Fold the edges over to create a ball and pinch to seal.

4. Arrange in a Pan

  • Grease a round baking pan. Place the stuffed dough balls in a circular pattern, leaving some space between them to rise.
  • Cover and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

5. Preheat the oven

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

6. Bake the Bread

  • Brush the tops with beaten egg and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.

7. Serve

  • Let cool slightly before serving. This sweet bread is perfect for dessert or breakfast!

Tips

  • Flavor Variations : Try using chocolate spread or Nutella for a different twist.
  • Serving Suggestions : Serve with whipped cream or a dusting of powdered sugar for extra sweetness.

Enjoy your delicious flower-shaped dessert bread!
