Sausage meat1 pound
Puff pastry, thawed1 sheet
Egg, beaten1
Fresh parsley, chopped1 tablespoon
Fresh thyme, chopped1 tablespoon
Fresh rosemary, chopped1 tablespoon
Garlic powder1 teaspoon
Salt and pepperTo taste

How To Make Oven Baked Herbed Sausage Rolls:

  1. Step 1: Prep & Mix: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper. In a large bowl, combine the sausage meat with parsley, thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the herbs are evenly distributed.
  2. Step 2: Assemble the Rolls: Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut the pastry in half lengthwise to create two long rectangles. Divide the sausage mixture in half and shape each portion into a long log, placing it along the center of each pastry rectangle.
  3. Step 3: Seal & Cut: Brush the edges of the pastry with the beaten egg, then fold the pastry over the sausage, pressing the edges to seal and form a roll. Cut each roll into six equal pieces.
  4. Step 4: Bake: Place the pieces seam-side down in the prepared baking dish. Brush the tops of the rolls with the remaining beaten egg to ensure a golden finish. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the sausage is cooked through.
  5. Step 5: Serve: Allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving.
